Engage Peoples Hearts and minds - What if the issue is genuinely complex and ambiguous, and we as leaders don't "know" the "answer"?  How can we show leadership there? What if we want to really engage peoples hearts and minds - not just get them to nod their heads?  Is there a method to help us do that?  What if we are really uncertain what a customer's or potential customer's needs really are - despite having read their documentation?  How can we quickly explore and discover their real needs?

The answer is that we have a new type of meeting - a "design conversation" NOT a traditional meeting.  The new type of meeting is a 'conversation' - a design conversation.  It moves us from 'meeting' to 'creating'.  It is framed/organized by questions, moves through a cycle characterized by where we are, where we want to be and how we will get there. The conversation, publicly maps the discussion and has key outcomes and actions assigned - it maximizes group contribution.
